The Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC) of the National Assembly, has recommended the National Audit Office (NAO) to conduct an audit exercise on Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

FPAC made this and other recommendations in its report on the estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2025, following a thorough review of budget submissions from various Institutions, Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), and after careful consideration of the recommendations put forward by various committees of the Assembly.

Laying the report before his colleagues, FPAC Chairperson, Hon. Alhagie S. Darboe said: “The National Audit Office (NAO) should consider conducting a thorough revenue audit across all MDAs.” He also said that the committee recommended that all MDAs submit their Staff Nominal Roll; Fixed Asset Register, and all other relevant supporting documents to the National Assembly at least 30 days before budget bilaterals with Committees.
