Four Nigerian nationals are likely to face prosecution on scamming allegations by the Gambia Police Force (GPF). The quartet were said to be involved in scamming activities in the country.
“The suspects were granted bail. But it is highly possible that they will face prosecution. Investigators have gathered all the facts (evidence), and now they are putting them together for further action,’’ Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Muhammed Y Darboe who is also the deputy Public Relations Officer of GPF, said.
Further responding to reporters, Darboe added that charges are yet to be preferred against the suspects. But notwithstanding, they were granted bail pending further action.
It readers can recall, the Gambia Police Force recently announced the arrest of four Nigerian nationals between the ages of 20 and 26, for their alleged involvement in suspected online scamming.
