By Mustapha Jallow Information reaching Foroyaa has it that the former Human Resource Director of Gamcel, Mr. Seedy Jaiteh, has been arrested and detained for 35 days without trial. According to family sources, men in plain clothes took him away from his residence at Manjai Kunda on 27 August, 2014 at around mid-night to an unknown destination. The men in plain clothes took Mr. Jaiteh away in their black pick up vehicle having tinted glass but bearing no vehicle registration number, a family source indicated. Sources further indicated that on the following day Thursday, 28 August 2014, family members visited the headquarters of the NIA, the police and the NDEA but were told they did not see him. According to the source, they eventually traced him at the NIA headquarters in Banjul and were able to take food to him initially, but that this was stopped on Tuesday, 2 September 2014. The source further said the family soon had information that he was held at Mile II Prison but that when they got there, they were told they won’t be able to see him.
