Germany-based Gambian soccer ace Omar Jatta has found himself in trouble after getting banned for rest of the Omar Jatta ballseason.

Jatta, a 27-year-old, is hit hard by Württemberg Football Association (WFA) –the body overseeing Germany’s fifth tier football – for a spate of disciplinary issues. Top on the rafts of issues leading to the striker’s ban is tendency to launch assaults on opposing players hence his 8-game suspension.

The ban excludes the Gambian from playing any more game in the ongoing season which is now left with eight games before its official ending.

In an investigation which began April 10th –a day after Omar’s sending off – and lasted for ten days before delivering its outcome, the football association also took into consideration the player’s past infringements, labeling him a repeated offender.

Contract saga

The Brikama-born footballer’s troubles came at an awful time with his initial one-year deal on the brink of elapse in June. There were initial negotiations on offering him a revised terms by fifth tier side FC 08 Villingen’s board.

But owing to the hot soup Jatta has found himself in, it is understood, the club may even decide against handing the striker an improved deal.
