The Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Mambury Njie, on Thursday, 28th October, 2021 tabled over D23 billion (D23, 692,226,645) appropriation bill for the fiscal year 1st January to 31st December, 2022 both dates inclusive before the National Assembly (NA).
The minister’s move was aimed at securing parliamentary consideration and approval of the abovementioned estimates of revenue and expenditure for the 2022 fiscal year to finance the operations of the government and its agencies during the period
“The theme for the Budget Speech is “Improving Domestic Capacity, Resilience for inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth”, Minister Njie told the assembly.
The breakdown of the 2022 budget is as follows;

“The Total Appropriation is D23, 692, 226, 645. The said budget will be taken out of an Authorized Consolidated revenue fund provided by the Government as the budget for 2022,” Minister Njie said.
The parliamentarians will on Friday, 29th October, 2021 will commence the debate on the bill for final consideration and approval.
