Bubacarr Sambou, an old man who is residing at Bijilo-Jamisa, walked into the Foroyaa office on Friday, 19 August, 2016, to report about the abduction and disappearance of her daughter, Naffie Sambou, since 2015.

According to the old man, his daughter was picked up from her husband’s compound in Tallinding by 4 men in civilian clothes sometime last year. “I was at home in Bijilo when four men walked into the house with my daughter and one of them told me that she was under arrest. They later took her away on board a pick up van with tinted glasses,” said the father.

The old man said he is aging and poor and was entirely dependent on his daughter who was supporting him. He said the disappearance or absence of his daughter has now rendered him destitute as she was the breadwinner supporting her family.

“I’m therefore calling on the authorities to release my daughter as she has done nothing wrong and she also has children to look after,” said Mr. Sambou.
