Risk Falling in Relegation Zone

Falcons Football Club on Wednesday won 1-nil against struggling Brikama United, who are on the verge of falling into the relegation zone. The match was played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Adama Jammeh scored the only goal in the match for Falcons to give them their 3 straight win while sitting in 2nd position. They are now 8 points behind the league leaders, Real de Banjul. The Abuko based club have 15 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats so far from 26 matches in the league. With the win, Falcons are now on 50 points – 8 points from the table toppers, who have 58 points.
There are four (4) matches left in the league season. Brikama United continue to lose their matches and risk staying in the league. They are now in 13th position and are on 28 points. This means they are only one (1) point above the relegation zone. The defeat was Brikama’s 3rd straight defeat and 12th of the season. From 26 matches, Brikama only have 7 wins and 7 draws.
Brikama’s recent form shows that they have a difficult season. They lost to Falcons 1-nil, lost on the same score line against Team Rhino, lost 2-1 against Fortune, lost 1-nil against Wallidan and drew goalless against Marimoo Pakfood.
Bombada also won 1-nil against TMT FC in Banjul to end their 4-match straight defeats. Bombada moved up in the league standing and now sitting in 12th position, and on 30 points. TMT remained in 8th place and on 33 points.
Samger held Fortune to a goalless draw at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Yundum. Samger remained as the bottom place team while Fortune retained the 3rd place.
Steve Biko drew 0-0 against Banjul United in Bakau. Steve Biko remained in 5th place and on 40 points while Banjul United remained in 14th place and on 28 points.
