Jarriatou Lowe, Yusupha Lowe and Alieu Lowe, who are the ex-wife, son
and brother respectively of former Warrant Officer Class 2 of the
Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), Baboucar ‘Bai’ Lowe, said to be one of the
alleged armed attackers on state house, were arrested and detained bysecurity agents since 1 January 2015, according to a family source.
The family source further told Foroyaa that they were picked up around
3pm at Lamin by men in plain clothes who told them that they were
given orders from the office of the president to arrest them.
The source added that the ex-wife had divorced with Bai Lowe since 27
February 2014, while Yusupha, the son, who is 13 years old, and Alieu,
the younger brother, who is 19 years old, are both going to school.
Since the arrest and detention of the three, the family members do not
have access to them or know their whereabouts.
