By Mustapha Jallow The arrest and detention of the Managing Director of the Gambia International Airline (GIA), Mr. BakaryNyassi, has clocked 8 days. He was detained at the Brusubi Police station sinceTuesday, 19th August 2014. However, Foroyaa earlier reported that state security agents went to look for him at both the Banjul International Airport and his residence in Lamin, but could not locate him at the time. It was reported that Mr.Nyassi turned himself in after he was invited by the Police at about 4pm and was detained upon arrival at the said Station. Talking to the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Gambia Police Force, ASP David Kujabi on the arrest and detention of the GIA MD, he said he would find out and get back to us on a later date. Meanwhile, our source revealed that Mr.Nyassi is still under detention, but confirmed that he has been allowed access to his loved ones. ]]>
