Magistrate K.B. Sambou of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 13th June 2024 ordered one Alpha Omar Jallow to vacate the premises of Modou Lamin Jarju alias Rongo at Banjulinding.

The Magistrate stated that Alpha Omar Jallow was absent for three consecutive times in court without giving any reason to the court.

“I hereby invoke section 7 of Subordinate Court Civil Proceeding Act as follows: The defendant (Alpha Omar Jallow) is given 30 days to vacate the plaintiff’s premise failure of which he shall be evicted by a court process,” said Magistrate Sambou.

Rongo had earlier written to Alpha Omar Jallow asking him to vacate the place, adding that he only generously allowed him to reside there. He stated that before Alpha Omar Jallow stayed there, a man used to live there called Ousman Sanneh, who, like Alpha Omar, was generously allowed to stay there. Rongo said Alpha Omar Jallow began claiming that he was staying there because one Kabirr Gaye gave him the place and not Rongo.
