Gambia striker Omar Jagne is denied playing football for the rest of the month after getting banned, Foroyaa Gambia striker Omar JagneSport can report.

The 23-year-old forward is serving a ban, described as harsh by his hordes of admirers and coach, after getting sent off on his debut in the Swedish second tier. Omar was given his direct matching orders by the referee after appearing to lurch at an opponent in the lost to Aziz Corr Nyang’s Assyriska.

The referee, Krantz, barely wasted seconds flashing the red card at the Gambian two minutes into the second-half. The result means he’s banned for three games beginning against Vabarg and is not expected to return until May 1st when his club Dalkurd plays Ljungskile.

His absence has left gaffer Ashbaghi short of options and ruing the unavailability of the forward who played a part in the club climb to the second division the previous stint.

‘He’s an important player for us, so it is a heavy setback (that we’re missing Omar Jagne).; he says, adding, ‘The referee did his job. But then Jack will be absent for a total of three games, a way too hard punishment. ‘

If there ever were a moment to forget for striker Omar Jagne in a career spanning six years ago, April 3rd will be that day for this emerging footballer.

The 23-year-old attacker had more than he bargained for as he was left mouth-gaped after getting sent off in his first forty-eight minutes of football in Sweden’s second division.
As recent as this month, the striker made the headlines for the wrong reasons when he fought teammate Kebba Ceesay sustaining a cut in the face and bled from the nose.
