Constitution of The Gambia President Jammeh decided to relieve the secretary general and minister of presidential affairs, Dr Kalilu Bayo of his duties with effect from Thursday, 8 January 2015. The president relied on sections 71(1) and 71(3) of the Constitution of The Gambia to appoint Mr Lamin Nyabally as the new secretary general and minister of presidential affairs with immediate effect. In a similar vein President Jammeh relieved the attorney general and minister of justice, Mr Basiru Mahoney of his duties with effect from Thursday, 8 January 2015. The minister of higher education, research, science and technology, Mr Abubacarr Senghore will oversee the ministry of justice.]]>
