By Sulayman Bah Gambia Premier League side Brikama United’s team bus was yesterday involved in an accident along the Jimpex road, Foroyaa Sport canreport. The 2011 GFF league champions were on their way to a league match whenthe team bus collided with a car leading to the abortion of the scheduled domestic game. There were no deaths fortunately, but some players and team staff were said to have sustained minor injuries. The team driver who is not identified, is the only one said to be hospitalised while the rest of injured players were being attended to by the GFF medical team. ‘No player is hospitalised and none of them sustained any major injuries – a thing we thank God for,’ gaffer Sulayman Kuyateh told Foroyaa Sport. GFF top official Ebou Faye who, it’s understood, facilitated medical attention to the players told this publication yesterday: ‘the players have been released and they should be at their homes by now resting.’ Brikama United are third-placed in the standings behind second-placed Real de Banjul and league leaders Gamtel.]]>
