Orlando sealed a ticket to the next round of the ongoing Brikama
Knockout Cup after dumping Scovill on post-match penalties following a
one-all score in regular time.
Elsewhere, Newton’s Sarjo Sanyang was the star-man when his team met
Berewuleng as the former trashed the latter 2-0 in the Cup.Earlier Fortune were sent packing on post-match penalties by Santo-Su
having slugged out a one-stalemate in the full 90-minutes of play.
Gidda Youths also joined Santo-Su to the next round of the Cup after
defeating Talli Bu Bess.
Amasa sealed a passage to next of things following a 2-1 victory over
Gidda Arrows. Amasa rifled in the opening goal in the first-half
before Gidda leveled when play resumed with an improbable free-kick
goal. But it was Amasa who won the bragging rights adding another to
make it 2-1.
This clash was one of renewed rivalry. The score ticked two-all when
the two sides met in the nawettan group stage with Gidda coming from
behind to force a 2-2 draw.
In another meeting, Greater Tomorrow reduced Jaliba United to tatters
walloping them by four goals without reply. The first half produced a
goalless affair, however resumption of play saw Greater Tomorrow rip
