Either side was leveled on points with Brikama ahead in the standings by virtue of difference in goal. Victory would have seen champions Real go into camp on top of the league ahead of their Orange Caf Champions League preliminary qualifier first leg against Liberian club Barrack Young Controllers but a resolute fight back ensured the points are sliced. Real had raced into the lead after a Brikama United player inadvertently turned the ball to the back of his own net gifting the capital-based side lifeline following a recent spate of lukewarm runs. However the 2011 league winners Brikama didn’t rest on their laurels and have a spirited comeback as they grabbed an equalizing goal moments from break. The score remained unchanged for the rest of the match. A clutch of all point for Gamtel will see the telecom giants reclaim top spot one point ahead.
