Gambia could be in for a bolstering as winger Demba Savage nears full match fitness.
The Finnish-based footballer has been rendered unable to play missing five of his club matches due to a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old reportedly picked up the wound during work-out, a day after featuring from the bench for just ten minutes against English club Liverpool in an exhibition match.
Since then the Scorpion has been rendered unable to play in the process missing both-legs of Helsinki’s Uefa Champions league qualifier games against Astana.
However he’s begun training though club coaches wouldn’t indicate the expected time that the Gambian would return to full fitness.
This development offers a bolstering to a Gambian national team side looking to take on a star-studded Cameroon September 6th.
Though Scorpion gaffer Raoul Savoy has yet to unveil his 23-man provisional squad but former Gambia Ports Authority Savage, who is Finland Most Valuable Player, is linked to be part of the list of invited foreign-based players.]]>
