Gambia legend Biri Bir’s son Yusupha Njie has been voted Moroccan champions FUS Rabat’s standout player.
The attacking player was an invaluable for the capital outfit helping them secure the Moroccan premier League title for the first time this season. And for his exploits, the former Real de Banjul man got named the club’s star man recently.
Yusupha is a sought-after starlet with a number of clubs looking to snap up his signature but the chance to head to Europe remains top on the agenda.
Njie has his sights on becoming an African champion after his club qualified for the Caf Champions League by virtue of clinching the Moroccan domestic championship.
For now though, he and his side are focused on grabbing the CAF Confederation Cup as they top group B with ten points.
Reacting upon receiving the gong, the 22-year-old told Foroyaa Sport from Morocco:
‘I feel so happy and thankful for my first professional award. It was a great season for us this year, winning the championship, looking forward to winning it again and the CAF too Before Moving to Europe for my goals Insha Allah’
