Sulayman Marreh has returned to the treatment table at his Belgian Premier League club AS Eupen.

The Gambia international had been poised to feature against Standard Liege last Saturday before he sustained a recurrence twenty-four hours to the fixture.

The former Samger FC defensive midfielder’s troubles with injuries began while he played for Gambia national team in the draw with DR Congo.

The playmaker had to be hauled off the pitch after getting tackled from behind by a DR Congo player. He lay in agony before getting stretchered off and returning later, but his resumption lasted barely two minutes when coach Tom Saintfiet decided his stay in the pitch be truncated.

The 23-year-old had flown back to Brussels feeling somewhat better and resumed training, but got hurt again leading to his sidelining from last weekend’s 2-1 defeat.
Timeline hasn’t been set for his return.
