September 30th is the day slated for the Banjul nawettan Knockout final rematch between Revelation FC and Babylon.
The fixture played this past weekend, at the Banjul mini-stadium, had to be put off after no winner emerged with both teams firing blanks throughout allocated time.
The first-half saw Babylon dominating as a haphazard Revelation sat on the back foot but it sure wasn’t a one-way traffic in the second period with a much-revived Revelation threatening.
Both outfits failed to pull the strings, making the additional four minutes – at elapse of the ninety minutes – waived by the match commissioner, meaningless.
Earlier in the day, Ngoyan FC laboured past Juventus FC to clinch the Banjul Junior nawettan trophy.
Individual prizes were also doled out with Babacarr Fatty of Babylon securing the senior championship’s Most Valuable Player while Babucarr Senghore bagged the Most Outstanding Young Player of the season.
Jamsen FC’s Salieu Ngum went home with prize for the leading goal-scorer while Musa Bobb of Plumbi United picked the Promising Coach of the season award.
