It was announced in the 10 pm news of GRTS television on Thursday, 18 August, 2016 that Mr. Dodou Bammy Jagne has been 
relieved of his position as Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service and Minister of Presidential Affairs and redeployed to the portfolio of Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure, with effect from Thursday, 18 August 2016
In a similar vein, Mr. Sulayman Samba, the former Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service and Minister of Presidential Affairs, who was removed from this post on 30 June 2016 (less than two months ago) has bounced back again to the same position.
