Bacari scores twice on returning from injury

Bulgaria-based Gambian footballer Bacari Kambi Njie has fully recovered and got on the score sheet netting Bakary Kambi Njie2twice on his debut since going out injured for four months.

Kambi started the game for premier league side Chernomore’s reserves scoring in each half before getting subbed later.

He delightedly said after scoring: ‘six months! Working hard to be able to go back to play football after rupturing my cartilage… And what a better way to score two goals in my first match!!!’

The attacker was sidelined with a knee problem for four months.

The 27-year-old had his knee operated after being heavily clamped down on in a domestic league match.

The former Espanyol forward spurred his club to the Bulgarian Cup in which he scored the match-winner but saw his season go up in smokes due to injuries and the latest one was the last straw.

Club doctors’ tests showed he broke his cartilage forcing him to go under the knife in Spain where he completed his rehabilitation process.

It was first feared he wouldn’t play till next year March.

However, he has recuperated quickly and is now touted to join the first-team in their next match.

The injury was an ill-timed, one hitting in moment he was due to make his first appearance in the Europa League qualifiers.
