ARRDO DONATES MEAT TO THE NEEDY FAMILIES

By Rohey Jadama Africa Relief Response Development Organization (ARRDO), with funding from the UK basedARRDO DONATES MEAT Muslim Aid organization, on Saturday, 4th October, 2014 slaughtered two bulls and donated the meat to needy families in Bakau. Speaking to the press after the donation, Mr. Ansumana Dibba, the Executive Director of ARRDO, said they secured grants from Muslim Aid worth three-thousand pounds to implement QURBANI and assist the poor and needy who cannot afford a ram of their own. He thanked Muslim Aid for funding such projects in The Gambia. “We are also going to render assistance to the blind and the physically challenge people on Sunday, 5thOctober, 2014 at GOVI,” said Mr. Dibba. He also used the occasion to further appeal to Muslim Aid to assist the Gambia in addressing food security since the rain this year was delayed and will cause food shortages. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Fatou Touray thanked ARRDO for the kind gesture and for supporting orphans as well as helping them in the education of their children.]]>
