Are we getting the right drugs in The Gambia?

QUESTION OF THE DAY

The number of amputees is increasing in The Gambia because of diabetes. Kidney problems are increasing leading to growing hospitalization and death. All sorts of medication are in the market and few people know the implications of taking all these medicines without proper diagnosis. There is need for proper monitoring of the types of drugs that are brought into the country and are being sold all over the place without proper supervision. The death rate and life expectancy rate of the citizens should be recalibrated. We cannot claim to treasure human life without being concerned about human health.
