QUESTION OF THE DAY

There is land dispute between the villages of Suluko and Sare Jama. Animosity between the villagers of the two villages is increasing and peace could be a casualty if the villagers are not given the clarity that is necessary.

Educated citizens from these two villages should go back to their villages and be peace makers. They should tell them that their dispute is before the high court and is yet to be decided.

What each side should do is to get legal counsels to guide them on what to do. They also have the right to appeal to the court of appeal. An aggrieved person can go all the way to the supreme court if it becomes necessary.

Court cases take long time. That is why litigants should always open a line of communication to be able to settle matters out of court. Education means something and the educated person should be of service to his or her community.
