AGRIC OFFICIALS DETAINED BEYOND 72 HOURS

Dibba Information reaching this medium has it that ten officials who served as project coordinators and regional directors under the ministry of Agriculture and were reported dismissed according to a press release broadcast over the national television and subsequently arrested, are still being detained at the Police Headquarters since on Monday, 7^th July 2014. According to sources, all the twelve top officials were granted police bail since on 20^th of June 2014 and were reporting on bail regularly but that since Monday, only Dr Kujejatou Manneh and Aminata Jallow are on bail but the rest are being detained. However, sources close to the detainees confirmed that since Monday, their love ones are detained at the Police Headquarters. The following are the Agric officials who are being detained: Foday Jadama Regional Director, Kutubo Sanyang, Project Coordinator Cowpea, Mr Kebba Drammeh, Senior Agricultural Officer at the Wellingara Model Centre, Musa Dampha , Commications Education Extention Services, Fafanding Fatajo, the Project Coordinator of FASDEP, Lamin Fatajo, the Project Coordinator of Rural Finance, Dr Saikou E. Sanyang, the Regional Director of Agriculture NBR, Dr Sanyang, the Regional Director of Agriculture CRR, Mr Cherno Mballow of Agric Business and Mr Mbemba Dahaba.   According to sources, two FAO officials, namely Dr Kujejatou Manneh and Aminata Jallow are on bail.  ]]>
