Gambia women’s team over the weekend saved face to slalom past Guinea Bissau after losing alarmingly in their first match.
It was not the perfect comeback one would hope but the women scorpions still managed to get past familiar opponents Guinea Bissau 5-2.
Gambia’s first division ladies’ serial golden boot winner Adama Tamba netted four goals while athlete-turned footballer Ola Buwaro made it five in an emphatic win in the ongoing Wafu women’s cup in Sierra Leone.
