The biking Gambian side was part of a number of countries vying for the stakes on offer including Mali, the hosts, Senegal, Morocco, France, Netherlands and even Slovakia. Participants have covered 160 km in four hours fifty four seconds between St Louis and Tivaouane. Senegalese ace Becaye Traore topped the list finishing first position ahead of Dutchman Roel De Vries –who ran four hours 25 minutes and six seconds –and French biker Steve Hounard. According to information gathered from a reliable source close to the Gambian outfit, fourth position was won by a Senegalese while Moroccan biker Rahil emerged fifth. Elsewhere in another development, Bakau United have signed their first English striker of the ongoing campaign. The player reportedly registered by team official Ansu Kinteh, starred in Bakau United’s one-all draw with Bombada. Efforts to reach Seedy Kinteh or Ansu over the weekend proved vain.  ]]>
