Foroyaa has been informed that four among the young people who were part of those arrested on Monday, 23 November, 2015 by the Police Intervention Unit (PIU) and detained following an alleged protest against mining activities in Kartong have now been released.
The four, namely Bala Musa Cham, a taxi driver, Pam Kujabi, a taxi driver, Joba John and Solo Manneh, are said to have returned to their respective homes following their release last night.
Confirming the information, Mustapha Manneh, alias Kanjura, said the four have now united with their families and that no charge is preferred against them. He said the families are joyful that their loved ones are now back home. He also welcomed the development.
